SHE KILLED HIM: For Love

Killed: For Love

Saturday; 15th Shawwal, 1436                      Bismil Laahir Rahmaanir Raheem

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatul Laahi wa barkaatuh brothers and sisters in Islam. A du’a appeal: Could you please tell Allah azza wa jal to bless me with sincerity from the core of my heart with every act of worship? Aameen. By requesting this from you, I have indirectly requested that the Angels pray for you; the condition being that you pray for me first. If you want to increase the du’a of the Angels upon you; then pray for everyone; known and unknown. Smile. Islam is that very beautiful.

And this is a few days to exactly a year I tried to write this article…Time runs…take advantage of your free time before your busy time…

A Story at a Study Circle

So, a scholar tells his students a love story at a study circle.
There was an amazingly beautiful queen (keep smiling) of a great empire. One of her servants against his natural will (consider revising…kikikiii) fell helplessly in love with her.
Love gave him strength and made him blind to the fact that he was a servant and she - queen. So, he went straight to her palace to profess his love to her everyone’s amazement. The queen gave everyone the shock of their lives when she did not ask the guards to take him away and give him some beating…

What She Did

She offered him a huge amount of money and other treasures in exchange of this love. She told him;

‘I am grateful that you love me and you are bold enough to let us all know but please take this and keep off me.’

Yet, how could he do that? This was love he was talking about! Whoever said one could clean off love with money? So, he turned his back to her and left the palace. No! He was not going to accept it. He wanted her not her treasures.
So, it was that every day, he came to the palace singing his love for the queen. He kept reciting love poetry that touched the hearts of all who witnessed it. Yet, the queen did not also relent in her quest not to love him back neither to punish him but to keep offering him more and more money.
She killed Him
One day, he had come again against all odds, seeking the object of his interest – the queen. Then she had mesmerized him; she brought an enormous amount of wealth attached with privileges and she had told him gently and nicely;
‘Young man! These are all yours. Take them and forget about this love.’
Now! All that wealth and the accompanying list of privileges were better than all the love he felt. He excitedly accepted the wealth and readied himself up for a change in status from servant to something better in the Kingdom.
He left her palace a very happy man, happier than he has ever been; all the love was totally forgotten. Now, he could have everything including many other women. But the queen had been furious and completely outraged. She would have accepted his love if he had refused this final test. She felt fooled and made a mockery of. Then she did what she thought she should have done from day one. She called her guards and ordered;
‘Get that bastard and slay him now!’
They obeyed and in some few minutes the finally happy man was history!
At the Study Circle
As the scholar said the last word above, ‘history,’ one of his students; who was the deepest ponderer amongst his students, collapsed.
In a few minutes, they were able to revive him. The scholar asked him;
‘My student! What happened?’
He replied;
‘I just thought of how our case is going to be with Allah azza wa jal during our judgment based on the reaction of the queen to a love that was untrue; my mind is unable to carry the weight of our plight on that day. A worldly love that the servant professes so truly yet easily gives away for wealth. How many times do we give up the love of Allah azza wa jal for worldly material gains? Could we even compare the might of Allah azza wa jal with that of this Queen?’
And so everyone began to cry profusely for this student had indeed extracted from the story its full lesson. His teacher was glad; his aim had been achieved.
Now, I am not going to write anymore. I will just implore you to give this story and its lesson a few minutes in your head and heart. Let it be processed! Let it settle in and let the lesson stay with you forever! And don’t forget about the du’a. May Allah azza wa jal make us among the victorious on Yawmul Qiyaama. Aameen Yaa Mujeebud da’awatud da’ee.
